I'm a software developer in Edmonton. I build websites, custom applications and automated systems that help businesses run faster and smoother.

Why I started Render Valley

A client of mine had already paid someone else for work that didn't do the job. When they asked for fixes, they were asked for more money. I hear that story a lot. Agencies charge for people you never meet, and small businesses end up with something they're not happy with.

So I work with you directly. I find out what's slowing your business down and what you want to get out of it, agree a fair price before I start, and keep going until you're happy with the result.

What I build

Websites for local businesses. So far, a cleaning company and a tax firm. Each site tells people what the business does and makes it easy to call.

Software for accounting firms. Firms hire me to build tools for their office. One of them is the Statement Categorizer, which reads bank and credit card statements and sorts every expense for the accountant.

My own product, PayRoar. Payroll software for small businesses that find the usual payroll apps too complicated. More than 50 companies run payroll on it.

How I work

• You deal with me. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who builds it.
• The price is fixed and in writing before I start. Half up front, half at launch.
• You see it as it's built. I send updates as each part is done, and you test it and tell me what to change.
• You own everything. Every account and every login is in your name.
